BH-01 are the first bone conduction headphones designed specifically for metal detecting, made in France by XP. Built for serious underwater use, they are IP68 certified and fully waterproof for diving with a DEUS II down to 20m.
Hear perfectly without straining your ears
The BH-01 headphones sit in front of your ears on the cheekbone and transmit sound directly to the inner ear via vibrations through the bones, helping you hear clearly without stressing the eardrums. In disturbed or noisy water, you can dive with earplugs to reduce the risk of infection and improve isolation from ambient noise—while still hearing your detector audio clearly through bone conduction.
Warning: When diving, use only dedicated earplugs that permit pressure-balancing. Never use standard earplugs as they may damage the ears when diving.
Use on land too
BH-01 also performs brilliantly on land, giving you the freedom to remain aware of your surroundings—or to isolate yourself in noisy environments with suitable earplugs. They can also help some hearing-impaired users by allowing them to feel the vibrations generated by targets toward the cochlea. Perception can vary depending on the type of hearing alteration. Adjusting the audio frequencies downwards (100 to 300 kHz) may improve perception depending on the disorder.
